If you aren't trading your shares, you should really consider keeping your shares offline, as suggested in the announcement. Go to "projects", then "my shares", and click "move offline". Print out codes or keep them in a password protected archive and then delete the emails. You still get dividends on offline shares, but you cannot trade them until they're put online again.
Also consider keeping coins you aren't actively trading on paper wallets too. Always use 2 factor authentication on EVERY account (SMS text or AUTHY/Google Auth only; no email). Use complex passwords (random password generators are best). Don't have accounts "remember" you for quick login. Only download crypto wallets from official github pages.
The crypto world is getting extremely dangerous. Stay safe.
If anyone has any more security tips, feel free to post them.

I took my shares offline and used www.qrstuff.com/ to generate QR codes for each set of shares. I switched off my internet connection and created a document with each QR code and the amount of shares and the price paid in text underneath, printed the document out and put it in a safe place. I then deleted all images, the document, switched the internet back on and deleted all the emails. Sounds like a long winded way to do it but I will be able to get them back online really quick when the time comes buy scanning the QR rather than typing a 30 plus character code in. Here is an example: imgur.com/AgMUweb
