i've just heard about a fantastic deal, ghash has opened a litecoin pool and is paying out 2x rewards for the next 7 days! i'm pretty sure this is more profitable than any other altcoin for the moment. i've moved my miners over to it.
to join the ghash pool you need to be a member of the cex.io website (they sell btc cloud mining but you don't have to buy into any of that you just need an account), then you can connect to their ghash mining pools with your own equipment. if you want to sign up for cex and use my referral link it is cex.io/r/0/greyskies13/0/ or if not just go to cex.io
when you've setup an account and are signed in to cex.io, there is a link to ghash.io in the upper bar. the ltc pool url is stratum+tcp://ltc.ghash.io:3333 worker names are in the format username.workername and workers are created automatically when you connect. you can user any password.
