A question... What about the CE marking? Does the Gridseed hardware has the CE marking? Otherwise the import into the EU could be problematic (perhaps denied).

I will look into the CE issue. I think there is an exception to the CE rule, and that is if the manufacture does not specifically target the EU. Maybe a tough sell to customs agents. These might also qualify for "experimental" use.

Thx. By the way... how many shares do I have to transfer back to you to get one miner?

Real CE marks have a registration number not just a symbol. There is also a CE that means "China Export" made to look just like the real CE. I tried to find the registration on EU site but after 1 hour gave up. I want to tell you they have legit CE but I cant verify. We will just have to test sending them to Europe.

Wow, that's hard "China Export" looks like an fake CE and that meas, the german customs authorities will destroy the devices... is there any possibility that gridseed will rectify the correct CE mark? can you ask your gridseed contact person?

Some exceptions to CE do apply, but I don’t know enough about the details. Maybe you can research it for the group: - Repairs
- Experimental
- After Market items
- EU not primary target of the Manufacturer
Also. these are Low Voltage, and therefore carry a very low threshold of compliance for EU standards. But who knows...

The CE stamp can be self certified. It's a very interesting requirement and for low voltage the statement looks like this from Wikipedia; Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC) Article 1 states the Directive covers "any equipment designed for use with a voltage rating of between 50 and 1000 V for A.C. and between 75 and 1500 V for D.C, other than the equipment and phenomena listed in Annex II." Might want to let fasbit mine them for you or take the profit on the shares. I work for a company that manufactures rotating equipment and we sell some into Europe. Since only the motor has voltage we use motors from the EU.

OK... all money has cleared my account and we ready to go. Unfortunately, it cleared about 1 hour after the deadline to get the wire out today, so it will go out tomorrow the 4th. Good news > We are on FED EX from China... this means tracking number, on US carrier. I will post tracking number here as soon as I get it. Gridseed still has to get the shipment to our freight forwarding agent. 3-4 days. Why the hell doesn't Gridseed accept BTC?

Good question sir. Pretty easy to implement an exchange like Coinbase that can automatically adjust to current market pricing.

i had a talk with the german customs authorities! 1. they told me about the "Low Voltage Directive" --> if it's less than 50 volt there is no problem 2. if there is no wlan/bluetooth is should be no problem (EMV guideline) 3. When it was sold, then it must be accompanied by an invoice so that the value can be determined. Otherwise it will be estimated - which would be maybe even better
